What training at Mavericks Fitness looks like for you in 5 easy steps:


Our consultation is about YOU. You’ll sit down with a professional coach and discuss where you’re at, where you want to go, and what specific lifestyle and fitness solutions we have to ensure your success.


Over the first 3 sessions your coach will take you through a functional movement assessment consisting of three basic movements. Squatting is vital to long-term mobility as we will sit and stand (hopefully) millions of times in our lifetime. A deadlift is using proper form, core stability, and muscle control in order to lift weight off the ground. From bringing in the groceries to playing sports, power and stability are an important part of a healthy lifestyle.


Train under the watchful eye of one of our highly skilled coaches at your convenience. You will be welcomed into the family of growth-oriented individuals. Your training utilizes some of the highest quality equipment Santa Cruz has to offer.


While we do our part to ensure your success one hour a day, you are ultimately responsible for the other 23 hours. Aligning your nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise routine with your goals helps us maximize your results from training. We help you uncover YOUR why and how of healthy living.

The initial consultation is very important because it’s a screening between a potential client and our team. Both sides need to agree upon specific goals, get to know each other, and feel comfortable. If you decide to work with our team, we will help you choose a package that fits your goals, budget, and schedule.

How long will it take to see results?

Every person is different. People new to exercise will feel results immediately. Our team will reassure that. Your only expectation is to listen to us and follow the specific guidelines that are given to you. We can only do so much – we are part of the equation but not the whole equation. When you go home, you need to stick to your plan because at the end of the day it’s up to you to change. We teach you how to implement the positive changes so the at-home struggles are kept to a minimum. For people with a background in training, with certain twists to diet and exercise selection, we can achieve your goal sooner than you expected.
