What is Health Coaching?

Build knowledge, skills, and confidence required to manage their chronic conditions and improve your overall health. Health Coaching deals with issues related to your body, food, and general well-being. Sessions may address nutrition, fitness, weight, stress management, and/or other health-related issues. The main focus of health coaching is making sustainable changes, such as helping you find and carve out time for exercise, slowly improving your food choices and cooking methods, improving resilience, and giving you more energy through better nourishment. We help you find what works for you.

Our relationship with food is a direct reflection of our relationship with ourselves and the world around us. Eating is not as simple as caloric intake and fueling our bodies. The act of eating is intimately intertwined with our emotions, mindset, stress levels, spirituality, and past experiences. In order to truly improve our relationship with food and resolve health concerns, we must go beyond the food itself. Knowing what to eat is not enough. Understanding why you eat what you eat and how to address the mindset of eating is the beginning of a healthy relationship with food and your body.

What does a Health Coach do?

As your dedicated coach, I empower, support, and challenge you, all while holding you accountable for taking the small steps towards your big goals. With time, patience, compassion, and self-love, trust that the baby steps you are taking every single day will lead to growth, enlightenment, and a whole new state of being. 

How does it work?

We offer customized programs based on your needs and availability. Nutrition and exercise coaching is also available to compliment your progress.​

  • Private programs typically start with 6-12 sessions and are extended as needed. Some clients get support for 6 to 12 months, some for a few years. Keep in mind that lasting change takes time, especially if your habits are deeply ingrained or you’ve been struggling with your challenges for a long time. 
  • Your program begins with a free consultation, followed by 30 or 60 minute sessions generally held every week.
  • Additional levels of support are available as recommended or desired.
  • In your sessions, we discuss what’s going well and what challenges you’re having, explore new concepts, review your “homework,” and create an action plan for achieving your goals.
  • Sessions can be conducted in person or via phone or video. My office is located near the corner of Soquel & Ocean with convenient access to Highways 17 & 1.
  • Program fees vary according to duration and level of support. Custom packages can be created to suit your needs.
